Grown Woman by Jen Luerssen

Blurb

Lia thought her life was going well. A job she loves, loyal friends, decent love life, and a great place to live. When things start to fall apart, she decides on a total shake up.

She goes back to school at 30 to change careers and take control of her path. In order to focus on her goals, she attempts to swear off men and relationships. Quickly she realizes this is an effort in futility. She makes fast friends with some classmates and her love life gets interesting.

She doesn't count on Javier. He is young (a lot younger), gorgeous, smart, and throws her off balance. They start out as study partners, become friends, and then things heat up. Lia does her best to keep Javier at bay in her thoughts with other men and her insecurities, but he keeps wiggling his way into her life until she finally gives in.

This grown woman knows what she wants, and eventually gets it.

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!
I laughed, I cringed, I cried, I awed, I everything in this book. Love, love, love this book!
This is the first book I've read by Jen and will NOT be my last!

The books flows so well and has quirky parts, like no swearing so they say rock star names - ok they do swear in the book too. It's like hanging out with your BFF and hearing about their fun summer they had in college and over the summer with some hot guys. There is nothing stuff about this book and it has a real life vibe - this could happen to anyone.

Lia, Paul, Mike and Javier are all likeable people who I could relate too. This is a friends to lovers type book. Lia is a grown woman and she knows what she wants in life. She wants Javier, but at first isn't sure because of his age, then he does some flaky shit that almost had me back to team Mike. But I get there has to be some conflict and drama. Thanks to Javier's immaturity, he provides it!!

Yes, there is a HEA, but to get to that you must first travel through, College Professor Maze, lead singer Drama Cave, Age Appropriate Dating 101, Hot Stuff who does dumb shit slalom, and then and only then do you finish the quest at HEA Arena! It's well worth it.

This will definitely be going on my top Sweet 16 of Books for 2017!!

Erotic Romance   #InnocentEyesTour Add to your Goodreads TBR Synopsis: "If he's gross, I'm bailing."  That's what I said to my supposed best friend when she asked me to take her place. A blind date, she said. What harm could it do?  He was charming. Beautiful. God's finest creation. He wined me and dined me. Made me do things I'd never before dreamt of in the bedroom. It was perfect. Dangerous. Arousing.  But Jenny didn’t tell me the full story. She didn’t tell me about the debt she owed. And now Quinn Cane wants his money's worth, and he’s going to make me pay whatever way he can.  “A debt needs to be paid.” The woman who came to meet me didn’t owe me money. I could tell by her innocent eyes.  Still, the debt will be paid either way. She was something to play with and use as I saw fit, but something about Emily Brooks made me want to keep her. So she became my dirt…

Lauren:

Graham is my brother's best friend. He’s always been my protector and my confident because he accepts me the way I am—and not many do. I can’t imagine not having him in my life.
Our weekend together was supposed to be a celebration. I graduated from college, Graham got engaged and signed with a pro football team, and my brother landed his dream job. It should have been the best time of our lives.

Except that the weekend started with me walking in on Graham's fiancée going down on my brother.

I complicated the situation by having sex with Graham after that, but I wanted to comfort him and, damn, when I saw desire in his eyes—for me—I couldn’t say no. I’ve wanted him for so long.

Now he doesn’t want to see me. He says he has a darker side he needs to protect me from.

Where do we go from here? Do I try to pretend to be his friend again or push him to open up to me and possibly lose him forever?

Sleeping with one of my best friends was not exactly a brilliant idea. It made…
