Matthew Hansen is the kind of handsome that has grown women whispering behind their hands and giggling like schoolgirls.

Dark, tall and mysterious, he’s a newcomer to our little town. He’s a gritty, grease-covered mechanic, and a single daddy.

Sweet, right?

Plus he’s looking for a nanny – and I am desperately looking for a job.

Sounds like the perfect deal.

Only he’s a jerk. An uncivilized, hulking brute. Zero manners. Zero interest in making me feel welcome in his home. Downright rude.

But oh so sexy.

And I need the job. I can do this.

One thing is for sure: I can’t fall for the Caveman. No matter how sexy he is. How mysterious. How tortured.

That’s the only rule – and one I’m about to break.

4 Stars

You are either going to love this book or hate it.
If you get hung up on age differences, then steer clear. The main character, Matt is *GASP* 30 and the nanny, Octavia is only 18. They are legal and consensual.

Octavia needs a job to help her family, she'll take any legal job she can find. Even the nanny of the new neighbor, who doesn't want her but needs her. Her first impression of him doesn't go well, but when he see's how well she handles his children, his resolve melts. Tati becomes one of the family, helping the children cope with their loss and their father cope with his anger of their loss. The more she is around Matt and his children, the more she is falling for them. What about the mysterious stranger that just blew into town, who likes Octavia?

Matt is blown away by Octavia and her ability to handle his children and his needs. She is there for them no matter what, like a pillar of strength. Thought of his past haunt him. His beloved wife, Emma. How could he be so callous to her? Notes start showing up at his house, he worries for the kid's safety and for Octavia's too. Things start to spiral and go out of control and Matt reverts back to his old ways of lashing out at those he loves. Will he push his children and Octavia away? Or will they push back at him? And who is stalking his family?

There was something primal about Matt that I really enjoyed. He was feral and manly. What I didn't like about him, was the lashing out and losing control of his moods. That worried me a little bit. Octavia was the right piece for Matt's broken heart.

This is a gritty, angsty story that will pull you in. I was unable to put this book down. I had to figure out who was screwing with them and why.
