Until Ashlyn by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Dillon Keck knew Ashlyn Mayson was drunk when she suggested they get married. He knew he should have taken her back to their hotel room and put her to bed. Instead, he did what he had been craving to do since the moment they met.

Claim her as his.

Waking up married in Vegas isn't something Ashlyn Mayson ever thought would happen to her. Having Dillon, her boss, a man she thinks is a dick, insist they stay married is absurd, but every time he touches her, she gets lost in him and wonders if maybe they are meant to be together.

But someone isn't happy for Dillon and Ashlyn and their new found romance, and they're willing to do anything to keep them apart. Even commit murder.

3.5 Stars

Dillion wants Ashlyn.  He takes control and makes it happen.  Next thing Ashlyn knows she is waking up next to her hot boss and married to him too.  How did this happen?  Dillion is determined to keep her as his wife, no matter what the cost.

When a blast from the not so distant past shows up, it's game on.  They are determined to make this work, come hell or high water.  Until things turn ugly and Ashlyn ends up getting hurt.  Can the police figure out who is after Ashlyn?  Why is this person determined to take Ashlyn out of Dillion's life?

The story moves along at a good clip.  I enjoyed reading Dillion.  But yet, there was something about him that made me hesitate or withdraw from him at times.  Maybe it was his gruffness or his pushiness.  Ashlyn was good, she didn't whine a lot and figured out quickly that she loved Dillion and wanted to be with him.  The ended for me was rushed.  I felt like it should have been drawn out a little more or something was missing.

Over all I did enjoy the book.  Enjoyed how Dillion and Ashlyn found their way to loving each other and how different they both were.  Ashlyn's family seems like a bunch of characters.

All that remains are whispers of the past…
When multiple body parts are recovered from the Little Ogeechee River in Savannah, Georgia, local law enforcement calls in FBI agent and profiler Brandon Fisher and his team to investigate. But with the remains pointing to three separate victims, this isn’t proving to be an open-and-shut case.
With no quick means of identifying the victims, building a profile of this serial killer is proving more challenging than usual. How is the killer picking these victims? Why are their limbs being severed and bodies mutilated? And what is it about them that is triggering this killer to murder?
The questions compound as the body count continues to rise, and when a torso painted blue and missing its heart is found, the case takes an even darker turn. But this is only the beginning, and these new leads draw the FBI into a creepy psychological nightmare. One thing is clear, …
