Abel - Book Review

I was having a hard time finding a book that I could get into and really wanted to read.  I started and stopped about four books before I picked up Abel.  I think I picked this book up for Free on Amazon awhile ago.  Glad I did.  But didn't look and see that this is book #4 in the series; 5th Street.  Not to fear I did purchase book #1 Noah, cause he seemed like a great guy in this book.

Coming off the worst divorce in the history of marriages, Nellie Gamboa’s looking to let loose and make up for years of neglect. When months of building sexual tension between her and the young hot boxing stud, Abel Ayala, finally peak, she makes him an offer no man would refuse.

No promises. No demands. Just pure unrestrained passion.

Abel’s training for the biggest fight of his career. He has no time for a social life, much less a relationship. So this arrangement couldn't be more perfect. A beautiful woman asking him to help her alleviate her neglected desires—no strings attached. What more can he ask for?

As the lines between lust and something much deeper, begin to blur, Abel finds himself in an even bigger fight.

The fight to regain control of his now demanding heart

3.5 Stars

Abel has known Nellie, as long as Roni has been around Noah, so a long time. But Nellie is now single and ready to mingle. She’s no longer hiding herself, she is eager to live life to the fullest now. In the same breathe she doesn’t want to have a commitment, just some fun. Abel is the perfect person to scratch that itch. Roni is worried that someone is going to get hurt. Abel is a notorious womanizer and will surely break sweet Nellie’s heart.

My Nellie

Since Abel and Nellie aren’t dating, Nellie is free to date who she wants. So is Abel, only he doesn’t. Abel is a total Alpha Male, that wants what he wants and KNOWS what he wants. He chased after Nellie, no matter what happened, he was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. Cliche, yes, but it works!

My Abel - I wouldn't toss him out of my bed either!  Good for you Nellie!

An upcoming fight in Vegas has Abel asking Nellie for help with promotional stuff. He knows he needs to seal this deal, before someone else does. But does Nellie feel the way that he does, or is she truly happy just being FWB? Only one way to tell.

There were parts where I felt the story lagged and I expect a HUGE plot twist or blow up.

With that being said. I did like the chemistry and trust that they had towards the end of the book. Even with all the stuff going on around them, Abel knew Nellie. He knew he heart. He knew her as a person and trusted her.
